You can browse every tool page and read the documentation without an account, but running any PDF tool requires a Pro upgrade. Sign in with Internet Identity, then upgrade once to unlock all tools — your Pro status is tied to your identity.

How do I check my Pro status?

Sign in and open the Profile page from the header. Your current tier and its expiry date (paidUntil) are shown there. If your Pro access has expired, you can renew from the same page or the Upgrade page.

Yes. Your Pro upgrade is tied to your Internet Identity, not a single device. Sign in with the same identity anchor on any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — and your Pro access follows you.

How do I disconnect or manage my identity?

Identity management happens through Internet Identity itself at identity.internetcomputer.org. PDF PILOT never stores your password or seed phrase. To sign out of PDF PILOT, use the menu in the header and select "Sign out".

Pro is a one-time upgrade of $9.99 USD. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges, and no per-tool fees. One payment unlocks every PDF tool for the duration of your Pro period.

How long does Pro access last?

Each Pro grant includes a paidUntil expiry date — typically 30 days from the moment your payment is verified. You can see your exact expiry on the Profile page. When it passes, your account reverts to free and you can renew with another one-time upgrade.

How are payments processed and verified?

Payments are processed through PayPal and the transaction is recorded on-chain via the Internet Computer. The backend verifies the PayPal capture server-side — checking status, amount, and currency — before granting Pro, so the grant can never be faked from the client.

Will my card or PayPal details be stored?

No. Payment details are handled entirely by PayPal. PDF PILOT only receives a confirmation of a successful capture and records the Pro grant on-chain. We never see, store, or transmit your full card number or PayPal credentials.

Because Pro is a one-time, instantly-activated upgrade and all processing happens in your browser, refunds are handled case by case. If a tool failed to run for you or your grant did not activate, sign in and reach out through the Profile page so we can investigate.

PDF PILOT runs on the Internet Computer, a public blockchain. The backend canister is deployed on-chain and its behavior is verifiable. Frontend processing happens in your browser, so you can inspect network activity and confirm no file leaves your device.

No. Every PDF tool runs entirely in your browser using client-side libraries like pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device, are never transmitted over the network, and are never stored on any server. This is the core of PDF PILOT's privacy-first design.

Do you keep copies of my files after processing?

No copies are kept — by you or by us. When you close the page or clear your browser data, the processed output is gone. We have no server-side storage of your documents because the processing never touches a server.

We store only what is required to operate your account: your Internet Identity principal, your Pro tier and paidUntil expiry, and your API keys if you create them. We do not track the contents of your files or your tool usage history.
